Careersat Agri have been asked to recruit an Area Sales Manager to serve and support the agricultural merchant trade in the south of the UK. This home-based role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, successful and professional company operating on a national scale. The company offers a continuously developing wide range of market -leading products valued in the increasingly important forage market. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will include direct account management as well as continuing to develop the profile of the business and to drive forward sales through technical and commercial support. Responsibilities: •Attaining budgets •Developing a business plan for new and current accounts •Acquiring and providing technical support and training to agricultural merchant teams and their farmer customers. •Implementing sales and promotion campaigns •Maintain a high profile at agricultural meetings, shows and demonstrations and with the regional media.
•A passion for the forage sector and the ability to enthuse the merchant trade teams and their customers. •Excellent communication skills •A detailed understanding of the agricultural industry, particularly livestock •Proven sales ability within the agricultural sector and the ability to succeed through team work. •Valid driving licence
Salary: A remuneration package to include a negotiable salary, company car and pension scheme is on offer for the right individual.
