Job Description

To efficiently supervise and operate computerized feed manufacturing equipment to mix and process ingredients to company specified formulations and quality guidelines in a manner that maximises departmental effectiveness and achieves the cooperative’s goals Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include but not limited to the following:

  • Maintains a safe work environment as outlined by NEW Cooperative’s policies and procedures
  • Supervises the operation of computerized batch mixing and grinding equipment
  • Receiving ingredients and loading trucks
  • Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Responsible for maintenance of equipment
  • Maintains inventory at desired levels
  • Complies with all required manufacturing and regulatory controls
  • Performs drug and inventory reconciliation and ensures that necessary paperwork is completed correctly
  • Be familiar with the Feed Quality Assurance Manual and the Current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements

Skills and Experience Required: 

  • Practical experience with machinery and mechanical matters
  • Experience working within a mill or farm business
  • IT knowledge
