Careersat Agri are seeking a Trainee Sales Manager to strengthen an established ruminant feed sales team. Our client is a recognised and reputable business, serving farmers in the North of England. Although advanced training will be given, candidates will need to have a strong livestock background. The successful applicant will be responsible for serving existing clients from an existing ledger within a well-established area and opening up new accounts. Responsibilities will include: •Advising farmers on ruminant feed, particularly dairy. •Selling feed directly and supporting other sales staff as required. •Marketing literature and sales brand development. •Attendance at trade shows and farm open days. •Developing and maintaining long lasting business relationships with farmers. There will be excellent opportunities for future career development.
•Good experience, understanding and interest in UK farming - particularly ruminant nutrition. •Good communication and the skills to influence people (this is more than just being good at talking to farmers). •Relevant Agricultural degree or HND helpful but not essential. •Ambition and determination. •Self-motivated, proactive and able to work autonomously. •Full UK driving licence. •I.T. literate.
